Manual lymphatic drainage (MLD) is a specialized hands-on technique designed to promote the flow of lymphatic fluid throughout the body. It is currently one of the most requested modalities, and is coming to Oregon!
Why learn MLD? MLD helps numerous conditions. By learning MLD, you can acquire a valuable skill that offers numerous health benefits to those in need!

  • Reduces Swelling: MLD effectively decreases edema (swelling) caused by various conditions, including surgeries, injuries, or chronic venous insufficiency.
  • Enhances Circulation: By facilitating the movement of lymph fluid, MLD improves overall circulation, which can lead to enhanced oxygen and nutrient delivery to tissues.
  • Detoxification: MLD aids in the removal of toxins and waste products from the body, supporting the immune system and overall health.
  • Promotes Relaxation: The gentle, rhythmic movements of MLD can induce relaxation, helping to reduce stress and anxiety levels.
  • Supports Immune Function: By stimulating the lymphatic system, MLD can help bolster immunity, making the body more resilient to infections.
  • Relieves Pain and Discomfort: MLD can alleviate pain associated with various conditions, including fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome, by reducing muscle tension and improving fluid balance.
  • Improves Skin Health: Enhanced lymphatic flow can result in better skin tonicity and may help with conditions like acne and rosacea.
  • Facilitates Recovery: It's often used in post-operative care to expedite healing and reduce the risk of complications, such as lymphedema.
  • Alleviates Symptoms of Inflammatory Conditions: MLD can help reduce symptoms in conditions characterized by inflammation, such as arthritis and sinusitis.
